OpShop.Kiwi Limited (NZBN registered 23 February 2026) is the online marketplace built specifically to showcase the incredible treasures found in New Zealand's verified charity shops and specialist community retailers. We exist to make secondhand shopping easy, reliable, and rewarding.

Officially incorporated as a New Zealand Limited Company on 23 February 2026, this milestone marks the next stage of structured growth for the platform — strengthening trust, governance, and long-term sustainability for vendors and customers alike.

The Story: From Passion to Platform

The concept for OpShop.Kiwi was born out of a deep-seated need for a better way to do online thrifting in NZ. With nearly 30 years of experience in retail, including managing charity shops, I saw the challenges firsthand.

The idea quickly expanded: Why just showcase one store when I could help many? What began as a single-store concept evolved into a nationwide marketplace designed to give verified op shops and vintage curators a professional online presence without the heavy tech burden.

Built independently from the ground up, OpShop.Kiwi remains founder-led and values-driven. What started as a focused project during a period of medical leave has grown into a structured New Zealand company with a clear long-term vision.

We exist to support New Zealand’s recycling mission, one shop at a time. By purchasing pre-loved items, customers help extend product lifecycles, reduce waste, and contribute to vital community causes.

This journey began with my own consignment store, AnotherTimeAround (our foundational store), and has grown into a nationwide platform supporting the circular economy across Aotearoa.

OpShop.Kiwi Limited is currently in active growth phase — onboarding verified vendors, refining systems, and building momentum toward full public scale. This is just the beginning.
