• BONG 702 Manual Coffee Grinder – Vintage Mid-Century German Design

This is a genuine mid-century manual coffee grinder made by German manufacturer BONG. Model 702 dates to the late 1950s to early 1960s and was designed for everyday use in European kitchens, long before electric grinders became common.

Solid, simple, and built to last

The grinder has a heavy cast metal body with its original white enamel finish, paired with a mustard yellow enamelled hopper and a black Bakelite hand crank. It’s a great example of practical post-war European design where function came first, but style still mattered. This is the kind of object that was meant to live on the bench and be used daily.

Inside is an adjustable steel burr grinding mechanism suitable for coffee beans, allowing the grind to be set finer or coarser depending on preference. The base is fitted with a rubber suction ring which helps hold the grinder steady on smooth surfaces while in use.
