Behind the Scenes: Inviting Our First Vendors
OpShop.Kiwi wasn’t built to be another noisy marketplace.
It exists because opshops, charity stores, vintage sellers, antique dealers, and independent secondhand businesses in Aotearoa deserve an online platform that works with them — not against them. If you’re curious about joining early, you can register as a vendor here or simply reach out for a chat.
🚧 A Quiet but Important Phase
OpShop.Kiwi is now live in BETA.
This stage isn’t about hype or rapid scale. It’s about getting the foundations right before we open the doors wider.
Right now, I’m carefully onboarding the first group of vendors — testing real listings, real sales, and real workflows. This follows on from the broader growth journey shared in an earlier update on how OpShop.Kiwi is scaling from New Zealand outward .
🧪 What BETA Means (In Plain English)
- ✔️ You can set up and start selling now
- ✔️ Systems are tested with real-world use
- ✔️ Tools and processes are refined before higher volume
- ✔️ Support resources are built properly — not rushed
Everything happening now is building toward one clear goal:
A confident public launch on 1 April 2026.
🏪 Who I’m Inviting Right Now
During BETA, I’m inviting a small number of:
- 🧺 Opshops
- ❤️ Charity stores
- 🕰️ Vintage sellers
- 🏺 Antique dealers
Not to “go digital overnight”. Not to list everything.
But to help shape a platform that respects how secondhand retail actually works.
🔓 No Pressure. No Lock-In.
- No long-term contracts
- No obligation to stay
- No penalties for reassessing later
This is about building something useful — not trapping anyone in it. If you’d prefer to talk things through first, you’re welcome to get in touch directly.
📌 Interested in Joining During BETA?
If you run, work in, or support an opshop, charity store, vintage shop, or antique business and are curious about what’s being built, I’d love to hear from you.
