A genuine signed “The First Tee New Zealand” golf cap featuring the signature of Olympic gold medallist Danyon Loader.

Best known for his achievements in the pool during the 1990s, Danyon Loader remains one of New Zealand’s most respected sporting figures, winning multiple Olympic medals and becoming a household name in New Zealand sport.

This cap originates from the earlier years of The First Tee New Zealand charity tournament programme, prior to my time as National Programming Director. While I was not personally present for this signing, attendance and involvement by Danyon Loader at these events has since been confirmed through PGA coaches associated with The First Tee NZ during that period.

The First Tee New Zealand programme brought together professional golfers, sporting personalities, business leaders, and young players through events designed to support youth development and introduce more young New Zealanders to the game of golf.

The cap features the embroidered The First Tee New Zealand logo and presents in very good condition, with light handling associated with the original signing and long-term storage. A unique crossover piece combining New Zealand sporting history with one of the country’s notable youth golf initiatives.
