Common purchase questions
When is payment due?
Payment for the items and selected delivery is due in full at checkout through the available Paystation payment method.
Who sells the item?
The named Store is the seller. OpShop.Kiwi operates the marketplace and supports payment, order administration and the customer shopping experience.
Are sellers checked?
Yes. OpShop.Kiwi is for approved businesses, charities, organisations and traders operating in trade. Casual private sellers are not permitted to sell through the marketplace.
Do I need an account?
You can browse without signing in. A customer account keeps your supported order, delivery and account information together and is used through the checkout and order process.
Can I collect my purchase?
Collection may be available where the selling Store offers it. Available delivery or collection options are shown during the purchase process.
Delivery
Shipping and tracking
How is delivery priced?
Available delivery services are calculated for the parcel, dispatch Store and customer address. The available shipping options and cost are shown before checkout.
Where is tracking shown?
Where tracked delivery is used, the tracking number and available dispatch or delivery updates are recorded with the order once supplied by the carrier.
What happens after I place my order?
Once payment is successfully confirmed, the selling Store receives the order and prepares the item for the selected delivery or collection method.
What if my parcel is delayed?
Check the available tracking information first. If the parcel appears delayed or the tracking is unclear, contact the Store or use the available customer support process for the order.
What if my parcel does not arrive?
Contact the selling Store or customer support so the order, delivery details and available tracking information can be reviewed.
Products
Buying second hand items
Are the photos of the actual item?
Marketplace listings should use genuine photographs of the actual item being sold so you can review its condition, wear and relevant details before purchasing.
Should I check measurements?
Yes. Measurements are especially useful for second hand clothing, furniture and other one off items where modern sizing or standard dimensions may not apply.
What should I check before buying?
Review the photographs, condition description, disclosed faults, measurements, Store information and available delivery or collection options before completing checkout.
Are items always second hand?
OpShop.Kiwi specialises in second hand, vintage, antique, collectable and resale stock. Some Stores may also sell other permitted items where appropriate, so check the individual listing for full product details.
Returns and problems
When something is not right
Can I return an item?
Returns depend on the circumstances of the purchase and the applicable consumer obligations. Check the current Returns information for the process that applies.
What if an item is faulty or misdescribed?
If an item is faulty, unsafe, materially different from its description or otherwise requires review, use the published returns or customer support process.
What if the item arrives damaged?
Keep the item and packaging, take clear photographs of the damage and contact the Store or customer support promptly so the issue can be reviewed.
What if I change my mind?
Change of mind returns are not automatically treated the same as problems involving faulty or misdescribed goods. Check the current Returns information and the selling Store's applicable terms.
