From paid order to delivery

Orders, shipping and payouts

Each order retains its payment, shipping, carrier or service information, commission, authorised deductions, payout allocation and fulfilment history.

Operational flow

What happens after checkout

  1. 1

    Payment

Paystation confirms the successful payment result before the order is treated as paid and released into the fulfilment process.

  2. 2

    Commission

The applicable marketplace commission rate is recorded against eligible item sales. Shipping is treated separately from the item value for commission purposes.

  3. 3

    Dispatch

The Vendor prepares the order for the selected shipping or collection method. Where a tracked shipping service is used, shipment and tracking information are recorded against the order.

  4. 4

    Tracking and fulfilment

Dispatch, tracking, collection and delivery information can be recorded against the order so authorised users can follow its fulfilment history.

  5. 5

    Payout

The order records the Vendor allocation, marketplace commission, shipping amounts and any other authorised deductions so the resulting payout can be reconciled clearly.

Shipping

Shipping stays attached to the order

OSK records the shipping method and available fulfilment information with the order rather than treating freight as a separate disconnected process. Current NZ Post arrangements use OSK's supported eShip workflow, while additional carrier and direct API integrations may be introduced as they become operationally available.

Payout records

Vendors can see how the payout is calculated

Marketplace commission, shipping amounts, authorised adjustments and the resulting Vendor allocation remain linked to the order so sales and payouts can be reconciled without relying on a separate manual calculation.
